Welcome to a spectrum of English Literary, Performing Arts, Life Skills and Soft Skills empowerment programmes for human capital development across age levels from Primary through Secondary through Tertiary and University through Teachers and young adults.
Our programmes are founded in the philosophy that takes a balanced view of all intelligences, some of which are often neglected by traditional education methods. And in an education paradigm that centralises the immense benefits of using drama and allied activities as a core empowerment method for all subjects.
Integrating all the arts with social sciences and literature, they stimulate the keystones of curiosity and inventiveness through multisensory processes to sharply improve all-round English and other abilities. Since 1997 they have inspired and enabled the majority of over 40,000 students make lasting connections with arts and the language, acquire life skills and gain confidence in their individual abilities while growing vital self-esteem.
Language Arts' hallmarks include:
- Programmes unique for their intensely interactive and contemporary processes for different age and ability levels that are continually refined by experienced and responsive specialists to heighten their relevance in a real and holistic world.
- Introducing language arts at lower primary through an amalgam of drama empowerment and teacher training to build the foundation for language demands ahead for these generations.
- Consistent programmes' endorsement (1996 through 2008) by Singapore's National Arts Council's Arts Education Programme (NAC-AEP) initiative that engenders the manifest values of arts education in nation building.
- Strong commitment to the processes of experiential learning that increase knowledge, develop skills and clarify values while fulfilling country National Education goals.
- Experienced Trainers qualified in Literature and Drama committed to motivate and challenge learners to combine brain-based learning with self-belief, while using time-proven techniques that students can enjoy and interact with in non-threatening environments.
- Publishing laudable students. Poetry, Short Stories, Newsletters, etc, created during programmes and presenting them to the community through country library and other networks.
- Stimulating students' theatre experience with concepts, training and organisation that propel drama sans borders exemplified by the UK-Singapore fused students' Shakespeare production that was applauded roundly in both countries.
Language Arts justifiably enjoys the repute of an innovative knowledge provider committed to meeting changing education needs for an ever-changing world beyond accademia. Proud of its initiatives that develop future human capital, it looks with excitement at extending these with wider coverage through both institutional networks and its own training centres in Singapore and across some of the world's fastest growing cities in Asia.
